Plot : After shooting her abusive husband , Wynona Sue Turnpike heads to Nashville to become a Country-Western superstar, committing several sins along the way .

Review : 3/5 . Drawing inspiration from early John Waters films , Highway of Heartache is intentionally crude, sickening , racist and obscene . The film's soundtrack is filled with Country-Western songs that are genuinely very well written and could have easily been recorded by any 90's female Country star.
Memorable songs: Highway of Heartache, My Baby wore Blue Jeans , and More than a Cigarette .
