Plot : Mable , a shy and awkward daughter of a general falls in love with the adopted son of the Pirate King. Very loosely based on The Pirates of Penzance .

Review : 4/5 . The film is as cheesy as it gets. The music is terrible and the acting is mind numbing . The attempt to update The Pirates of Penzance for the 80s failed on so many levels . But the film is a fun innocent romp and Kristi McNichol and Christopher Atkins can actually sing quite well .
Memorable songs: First Love, How Can I Live Without Her, and Happy Ending .
