Plot: In a sequel to the massive hit Saturday Night Fever , Tony Manero now finds himself as a dance teacher and inspiring star.
Originality : 3/5
Review : 4/5. Staying Alive tried its hardest to replicate the success of Saturday Night Fever but fell short on so many levels. The grittiness and unpleasantness of the original was stripped away for a new glam feel for the sequel. The character of Tony feels like a completely new character and the script is laughable. The redeeming qiality of the film is its soundtrack by The Bee-Gees.
Memorable Songs : Stayin' Alive, The Woman in You , and Someone Belonging to Someone.
